In the past few days, two of our crews faced delays in attending incidents due to dangerous parking – our fire engines simply couldn’t get to where they were needed!
Fortunately, they eventually reached their destinations, and neither incident was fatal, but these types of delays are common.
Please, if you’re parking on a narrow road, especially during a busy event, obey the local highways restrictions, and think: “Could a fire engine (or an ambulance) get past me?” It might mean the difference between life and death.
