Shipping firm fined £146,700 after worker seriously injured by forklift truckThe company was fined after the worker was struck by a reversing forklift truck. The worker suffered multiple injuries, including fractures to his right foot and lower leg. HSE’s investigation found that the company had failed to ensure adequate separation between pedestrians and vehicles during loading and unloading operations. Following the investigation, HSE has served an Improvement Notice on the company.
