Survey: government statistics

Help improve how people find and use government statistics.

The Government Statistical Service is running an 18-month pilot looking at whether a single shared service could make official statistics easier to find, understand and reuse.

If you use government statistics (official statistics) in your work or daily life, we’d like to hear from you on what works well, what you find difficult and what would make official statistics more useful.

You may use statistics to make decisions, carry out research, plan services, hold government to account or simply understand what is happening.

Your feedback will help us decide what to test next and what the service would need to offer. You do not need to be an expert or use statistics regularly to take part.

The survey closes on 31 October 2026.

Take the government statistics discovery survey.

At the end of the survey, you can indicate if you would be happy for us to follow up to arrange a 30 to 45 minute interview.

Please share the survey with anyone who uses government statistics. Read more about the pilot and how we will use the research on the Explore Government Statistics blog: Charting the future of official statistics dissemination
